The Wave Pictures

The Wave Pictures will be at the Supersonic in Paris on 29 May 2026. Formed in Wymeswold at the end of their teens, the trio brings together Dave Tattersall (guitar, vocals), Franic Rozycki (bass) and Jonny Helm (drums). Their playground: guitar-driven indie rock that draws on the blues, folk and an unpretentious classic rock. Talk-sung phrasing, clear melodies, precise riffs, solos that stretch just enough: the formula is simple, direct and made for the stage.

On record as well as on tour, The Wave Pictures favour collective momentum and flexible arrangements. They have been seen alongside Stanley Brinks (formerly of Herman Dune) and Billy Childish, with whom they released the album Great Big Flamingo Burning Moon. Across a substantial discography and appearances at festivals such as Primavera Sound, Green Man and End of the Road, the band has refined a warm, no-frills sound in which the trio dynamic leaves room for light improvisation and prominent guitar lines.
