Converge bring their Boston-rooted hardcore and metal to Circolo Magnolia in Novegro-Tregarezzo, Italy, on July 3, 2026. Born in the early 90s around vocalist Jacob Bannon and guitarist Kurt Ballou, the band forged a sound that blends hardcore punk, extreme metal and fractured rhythmic structures. Dissonant chords, jagged riffs and abrupt tempo shifts shape songs that push forward while never losing a tight, physical pulse.

From the DIY beginnings of Halo in a Haystack to Petitioning the Empty Sky and When Forever Comes Crashing, Converge helped define a new metalcore vocabulary. Jane Doe in 2001 marked a step in their evolution, pairing raw impact with more fragmented melodies and introspective lyrics. The following records — You Fail Me, No Heroes and Axe to Fall — widened the palette with more atmospheric breadth without softening the edges. All We Love We Leave Behind and The Dusk in Us carried that balance further, while Bloodmoon: I, created with Chelsea Wolfe and close collaborators, explored slower tempos, darker textures and layered vocals.

On stage, the band moves between tightly coiled aggression and spacious tension, driven by precision drumming and a dense, textured guitar work.
