Of Monsters and Men

Of Monsters and Men land at the Anfiteatro di Pompei in Pompei, Italy, on June 24, 2026. Formed in Reykjavík, the Icelandic band grew around singer-guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, who started playing solo in 2009 before teaming up with Ragnar Raggi Pórhallsson, Brynjar Leifsson, Kristján Páll Kristjánsson, Árni Guðjónsson and Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson. Spotted at the Músiktilraunir contest in 2010, they moved fast from local buzz to international airplay when Little Talks took off, paving the way for the debut album My Head Is An Animal and its rise on the US Billboard 200.

On stage, the group leans into layered harmonies and the back-and-forth between Nanna and Raggi, shifting from intimate folk touches to driving, percussive passages built for collective singalongs. Years of touring across Europe and the US, plus a solid run of festivals, have shaped a set that draws on their early breakthroughs and the storytelling spirit that made them stand out. In the open air of Pompeii’s amphitheatre, expect finely paced dynamics, sturdy melodies and the kind of choruses that gather momentum with the crowd.
