Since the early 90s, the band has built its sound on down-tuned, heavy riffs, a percussive bass attack and a vocal approach that flips from hushed tension to raw outbursts, with lyrics that lean into the intimate and the outsider’s view. From the early punch of Korn (1994) and Life Is Peachy (1996) to the breakthrough era of Follow the Leader (1998) and Issues (1999), they’ve kept that elastic mix of metal, hip-hop swing and industrial edges. Later records like Untouchables (2002) and The Nothing (2019) pushed the textures darker and wider, while Requiem (2022) stays direct: big grooves, sharp hooks, and a sense of pressure that only really locks in live.
