pølaroit returns to Microdosis. After an initial show, the German duo comes back with a proposal where time and place intertwine in each production. Their name —half Polar, half Detroit— captures the essence of their project: northern roots, a global outlook, and a melodic electronic sensibility. On May 15 at 6:00 PM at Razzmatazz 3, Barcelona.

The project was born from the meeting of Jonas, a pianist influenced by Nils Frahm and Ólafur Arnalds, and Marius, a drummer formed in the urban electronic scene. From that first improvised session in Hanover, their combination of melancholic piano and organic beats defined a distinctive sound, which took shape on the EP expedition into.

Since then they have collaborated with labels such as Deutsche Grammophon, Ki Records and Stil vor Talent, as well as on their project with Cercle —including the recording in India for Backwaters— and their work alongside Meute in Verden, which underscores their ability to unite acoustic, electronic and organic elements.

For pølaroit, each track is a snapshot: a captured moment. That is why they incorporate field recordings, voices and natural textures, making their music breathe humanity and precision in equal measure.
