Bloodywood

On 16 June 2026 at La Laiterie in Strasbourg, Bloodywood presented their hybrid metal from New Delhi. Born on YouTube as a covers project of pop hits and Indian film songs, the band quickly refocused on original material. Centered on guitarist and producer Karan Katiyar, singer Jayant Bhadula and rapper Raoul Kerr, Bloodywood blends a massive groove, nu‑metal influences and motifs drawn from Indian folk music, alternating rapped flows, melodic lines and screamed vocals.

The lyrics, in Hindi, Punjabi and English, address themes rooted in contemporary Indian daily life: mental health, sexual violence, discrimination and corruption. On stage, this approach is expressed through razor‑sharp riffs, percussive breaks and multi‑voice choruses, while retaining the sonic imprint shaped since their earliest videos. The set draws on the album Rakshak (2022) and the singles that circulated online, delivering a concert where modern metal and folk heritage converge in a direct and uncompromising way.
