Celtas Cortos celebrates four decades with “40 años Contando Cuentos,” a tour that reviews their trajectory from Valladolid to stages across Spain and Europe. Formed in the mid-80s, the band hones a blend of Celtic-inspired folk and rock sung in Spanish, with violin and flutes conversing with electric guitars and a straightforward rhythm section. On March 20, 2026, at Sala Mamba! in Puente Tocinos, the repertoire will travel from the early instrumentals of Salida de emergencia to the songs that consolidated their distinctive voice—by then fronted by Jesús Cifuentes—on albums such as Gente impresentable and Cuéntame un cuento. There’s also room for the mestizo pulse that accompanies them, with echoes of ska and reggae, and for more recent tracks that attest to their continuity. On stage, Celtas Cortos presents a live show designed for interaction with the audience, one that embraces social commentary, popular imagery and more intimate moments.
