On May 15, 2026 at the Comédie de Lille, Abdelkader Secteur presents Marhaba, his third one-man show. A regular on Franco-Maghreb stages, the Algerian comedian portrays everyday life with a keen eye for detail and the frank delivery that is his trademark. Between Algeria and France, he unfolds stories about family, bureaucracy and neighbours, slips in briefly sketched characters and nods to the realities of immigration, all within a restrained staging that prioritises closeness with the audience.
Marhaba is performed in dialectal Arabic. Abdelkader Secteur leans on the rhythm of the narrative, varies the tempo, builds situations without artifice and establishes that intimate, conspiratorial rapport that runs through his shows. Touring across France since 2024, he continues a stand-up rooted in a shared experience, one in which people easily recognise themselves from one generation to the next.
