The Dublin Legends: The Dubliners

On 23 October 2026 at Silkeborg Vise Verse Klub in Silkeborg, The Dublin Legends bring the living songbook of Dublin to the stage. Formed in the early 2010s by former members of The Dubliners, the group carries forward a repertoire of Irish traditional music with a close-up, acoustic setup: guitars, tenor banjo, fiddle, mandolin and voices in harmony. Led over the years by singers and players like Seán Cannon, Gerry O’Connor, Paul Watchorn and Shay Kavanagh, they thread narrative ballads, chorus-friendly pub songs and instrumental sets of jigs and reels. The concert leans as much on storytelling as on melody, tracing everyday Dublin, seafaring tales and social history through songs passed from session to stage. Arrangements leave space for the tunes to breathe and for the chorus to travel through the room, with the swing of dance rhythms and the lilt of unadorned voices. A focused live set that keeps the folk tradition close to its roots while opening it to the audience, one chorus at a time.
