Les Wampas

Les Wampas will set up their amps at La Rotonde in Châteaurenard on 16 October 2026. Formed in 1983 in Paris, they have spanned the decades by twisting the codes of punk rock, blended with psychobilly, yé-yé and a distinctly absurd touch of their own. On stage, Didier Wampas’s swaggering voice, the offbeat lyrics and a direct collective energy remain at the heart of their act, raw and unadorned.

Forty years after their first album, the band returns with Où va nous ?, their fifteenth record that brings the guitars back to the forefront and captures the momentum of their collective performance. Between personal memories, tributes and influences ranging from the twist to alternative rock, Les Wampas draw a clear line: sing-along choruses, sharp riffs and a presence that speaks to multiple generations. Between new tracks and familiar touchstones from their repertoire, they continue this mix of irreverence and in-your-face rock that defines the band, always faithful to the spirit that has driven them since their beginnings.
