Helmut Lotti goes Classic

On 5 November 2026 Helmut Lotti will perform with Goes Classic at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. The Ghent-born singer has been building a career since the 1990s at the crossroads of classical music and light pop. In this programme he places his voice at the centre, juxtaposing familiar melodies, romantic standards and songs from various traditions. He sings in several languages and opts for orchestral arrangements in which strings, winds and the rhythm section give space to melody and text.

Goes Classic is about the pleasure of singing and storytelling: aria-like moments, classical songs and ballads receive a fresh colouring without losing their recognisable character. Lotti moves effortlessly between operetta hues, schlager influences and pop, with phrasing and diction that follow the line of each piece. His approach keeps the barrier between genres low and makes the repertoire immediately accessible, whether you have followed him for years or are hearing him live for the first time.
