Info
Dayseeker, from Orange County, California, blends post-hardcore and metalcore with melodic vocals and atmospheric textures. From their debut What It Means to Be Defeated (2013) the band shifted from classic post-hardcore toward tighter, more emotive songwriting on Origin (2015), and then added a conceptual layer and cinematic atmospheres with Dreaming Is Sinking /// Waking Is Rising (2017). Sleeptalk (2019) opened the door to synths, midtempo grooves, and a clearer emo/pop influence, further sharpened on Dark Sun (2022), where the tone becomes darker and more introspective.
Live, the emphasis is on building tension and contrasts: Rory Rodriguez’s expressive voice moves from fragile to fierce, while guitars, electronics, and the rhythm section continually reshape the dynamics. No technical frills—rather a focus on melody, intensity, and the space between the notes. Expect a set that pairs new material with older favorites, in which hooks and heavier passages alternate without losing the atmosphere.
Dayseeker plays on 18 December 2026 at Melkweg, Amsterdam. An evening for fans of post-hardcore with emotion, synth layers, and a dark edge.
