Johan - Pergola Tour

On 10 April 2026 JOHAN will play at SPOT/De Oosterpoort in Groningen with the Pergola Tour. Built around singer-guitarist and songwriter Jacco de Greeuw, the band has carved out its own place in Dutch indie rock since the 1990s: clear guitars, earworm melodies, concise songs without frills. Originally called Visions of Johanna, named after Dylan, the group recorded their debut Johan in 1996 and then toured clubs, Pinkpop and even the United States. In 2001 came Pergola, the album that set the tone for the years that followed, with tight hooks and a warm, melancholic drive. After THX JHN and 4 the curtain fell, until their return in 2015; Pull Up (2018) and The Great Vacation (2024) revealed a mature, unmistakable sound.

The Pergola Tour places songs from then and now side by side in tight, melodic arrangements. Not bombastic, but songs with room to breathe, gleaming guitar lines and choruses that stay with you. In Groningen JOHAN will perform its core repertoire with a focus on the song and the interplay.
