Dotan

On 2 October 2026 Dotan will perform at SPOT/De Oosterpoort in Groningen. The Dutch-Israeli singer-songwriter has been crafting intimate folk-pop for more than ten years around his full voice, spare melodies and a keen sense of atmosphere. He broke through internationally with “Home” and the album 7 Layers, with songs that remain close and revolve around vulnerability and meaning. Live he deliberately keeps things small: the voice front and center, harmonies that breathe, arrangements without frills. That creates direct contact with the audience, whether at festivals such as Rock Werchter, Pinkpop, Sziget, Pukkelpop and Montreux Jazz, or in a more restrained setting.

After Last Goodbyes, Dotan moved toward a contemporary, slightly rougher form of folk. His new, fifth album continues that trajectory: light, pared-down songs with an open, honest tone. Expect a set that pairs new material with well-known repertoire, leaving room for silence, tension and communal singing. An evening close to the core of his music: spare arrangements carried by a voice that tells the story without detours.
