Spidergawd + Håndgemeng

On 13 March 2026 Spidergawd will perform with Håndgemeng at Patronaat in Haarlem.

Spidergawd was formed in 2013 in Trondheim by Per Borten, drummer Kenneth Kapstad, Bent Sæther and baritone saxophonist Rolf Martin Snustad, with roots in bands such as Motorpsycho and Cadillac. The band blends hard rock, stoner and psychedelia: massive guitar riffs, a driving rhythm section and melodic vocals are given a distinct color by the baritone saxophone, which opens up the traditional guitar sound. Since their debut Spidergawd (2014), a series of numbered albums followed—culminating in Spidergawd VII (2023)—all released on Crispin Glover Records and each supported by tours across Scandinavia and Europe. Along the way the line-up shifted: Hallvard Gaardløs took over bass duties from Bent Sæther and guitarist Brynjar Takle Ohr joined the group, while Kapstad remained a constant behind the drum kit. The songs draw on the 1970s for clear structures, space for expansive solos and psychedelic atmospheres, with tightly written tracks that hit immediately in a live setting.
