Samantha Fish

On March 13, 2026, Samantha Fish will perform at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. The guitarist and singer-songwriter from Kansas City built her reputation on the local club circuit and has become a fixture of contemporary blues. Her music moves effortlessly between blues-rock, roots, soul and Americana, with songs that can sound both electric and incisive as well as intimate and acoustic.

Since her solo debut in 2011, Fish has charted her own course: from rawer, Southern rock hues to a fondness for sixties rhythm & blues, and then to a blend in which modern soul touches and pop-rock elements actually reinforce the blues. Albums such as Wild Heart, Chills & Fever and Belle of the West showcase these different facets, while Kill or Be Kind and Faster further hone the electric drive and melodic hooks. In 2023 she teamed up with Texas guitarist Jesse Dayton for Death Wish Blues, a record that amplifies her blues-rock side.
