Getdown Services

Getdown Services are Josh Law and Ben Sadler, childhood friends from Minehead, Somerset, now based in Bristol. Together they cut sharp, groove-led tracks that splice post-punk pulse with funk swing, folding in social observation, dry humour and the small rituals of everyday life. On stage, the duo ride tight bass patterns, clipped drum machines and guitar or synth stabs, with a half-sung, half-spoken delivery that keeps the words front and centre.

Their debut album Crisps (Breakfast Records, 2023) set the template: rhythm-first songs about modern Britain, drawn with a streak of working-class surrealism. Since then they’ve stretched that approach across new material and club stages, playing with repetition, sudden shifts and lean structures built to move a room while keeping the narrative in focus. Expect a live set that links the dancefloor to the commute and the corner shop, with hooks that loop and lyrics that side-eye daily life. Getdown Services play The Garrison in Toronto on April 14, 2026.
