Wolf Parade land at Midway Music Hall in Edmonton on November 12, 2026. Formed in 2003 in Montreal by Spencer Krug, Dan Boeckner and Arlen Thompson, the band built a distinct balance of angular guitars, saturated keyboards and a tight rhythmic drive, with vocals traded between Krug and Boeckner. Live, that interplay pushes songs between post-punk edges, new wave touches and a melodic core. The set draws across their catalogue: the urgent contours of Apologies to the Queen Mary, the winding structures of At Mount Zoomer, the more direct punch of Expo 86, then the piano-and-synth focus of Cry Cry Cry and the electronic textures explored on Thin Mind. It’s a sound that keeps evolving while holding onto a clear backbone.
Also on the bill, Destroyer, alias Dan Bejar, brings a different angle, centered on a singular voice and careful songwriting. The pairing sets up a dialogue between two approaches to indie rock: dual-voiced tension and keys-forward energy on one side, a narrator-driven vision on the other.
