Info
On 28 April 2026 at The Concert Hall in Toronto, Lambrini Girls bring a Brighton punk rooted in riot grrrl and queercore. Formed by guitarist‑vocalist Phoebe Lunny and bassist Lilly Macieira, the band works as a tight core with rotating drummers, channeling short, straight‑to‑the‑point tracks where abrasive guitar and upfront bass drive chant‑like vocals. The lyrics face queer identities, gender relations and daily social friction head on, with urgency and a dry sense of humour. Their 2023 EP Love Is a Weapon on Big Scary Monsters set the tone that powers their live set.
Big Special join from the West Midlands with a tense, spoken‑word‑leaning rock. Singer Joe Hicklin and drummer Callum Moloney shape heavy rhythms and thick low end into pieces that brush post‑punk and industrial moods. Their writing tracks working‑class routines, mental health and political frustration with a blunt diction and a feel for narrative. The duo’s debut album, Postindustrial Hometown Blues (SO Recordings, 2024), frames that mix of grit, spoken intensity and more melancholic turns that has been building across their shows.
