Info
On May 22, 2026, Zaz brings her blend of French chanson, jazz and pop to the Centre Vidéotron in Québec, Canada. Born Isabelle Geoffroy, the singer-songwriter adopted the stage name Zaz after training at the conservatory and CIAM in Paris. A meeting with Kerredine Soltani and producer Raphaël helped trigger her breakthrough in 2010. Her self-titled debut, propelled by the street-born anthems “Je veux” and “Dans ma rue,” moved from busking energy to widespread airplay and set the stage for tours across France, Europe and Canada.
In concert, Zaz leans on swing rhythms, folk textures and a hint of improvisation, all delivered through a husky, agile voice. The program weaves early hits with later material from Recto Verso and subsequent releases, shifting between pared-back passages and buoyant grooves. Her lyrics sketch everyday scenes and plainly expressed feelings, sung in a conversational, direct manner well suited to a live setting. Expect an intimate band sound, acoustic colors and arrangements that allow the songs to breathe differently on stage — an evening of French chanson with jazz inflections in Québec.
