Faetooth

Faetooth land at The Garrison in Toronto on April 30, 2026. Coming out of Los Angeles’ DIY metal scene, this US quartet shapes a slow, weighty strain of doom threaded with sludge grit, shoegaze haze and a touch of fairy-doom atmospherics. Melodic voices cut through dense, down-tuned guitars, while the band stretches songs into long arcs with marked shifts in volume and tempo. On stage, they work the space between tension and release, stacking textures, letting motifs repeat and evolve, and dropping into quieter passages before the next surge.

Active since the late 2010s, Faetooth first honed their sound through digital releases and small-room gigs, then pinned it down on the 2022 album Remnants of the Vessel. Their live set sits where doom meets post-rock and psychedelia: patient, layered and heavy without rushing. Riffs stay thick and deliberate, drums move from a crawl to a churn, and the vocals keep a melodic line that contrasts with the weight underneath. Regularly sharing bills with sludge, post-metal and blackgaze acts, the band treats each performance as a slow build, letting mass, silence and melody set the pace.
