Info
On June 11, 2026 at Les Trois Baudets in Paris, Istanbul-born composer and pianist Büşra Kayıkçı presents a piano-centered solo informed by influences ranging from John Cage to Nils Frahm. At the crossroads of minimalism and neoclassicism, she unfolds repetitive motifs and spare melodies, introducing electro-acoustic textures that broaden the spectrum without disrupting its clarity. Also trained in architecture and interior design, she conceives her pieces as spaces: attention to proportion, the circulation of themes, the use of silence and shifts in perspective. Her repertoire draws notably from Eskizler (2019) and Places (2022), where nuances are built in layers, sometimes underscored by strings or delicate atmospheric washes. On stage, her playing favors short forms and attentive listening, allowing the piano to trace a precise sonic cartography, between sketch and finished plan. An intimate, structured approach that reveals the coherence of her musical language.
