Karan Aujla

Karan Aujla, a key voice of the new Punjabi scene shaped between India and Canada, plays Scotiabank Arena, 40 Bay Street, Toronto, on May 11, 2026. First known as a lyricist writing for established Punjabi singers, he stepped to the mic with a sound that blends Punjabi pop, hip-hop and trap, with lyrics drawn from everyday life and the diasporic experience. Through the late 2010s he built a steady run of singles across the Indo-Canadian circuit, before moving into long formats: B.T.F.U. with producer Tru Skool in 2021, marked by classic bhangra textures; the EP Way Ahead in 2022; Four You in 2023; and Making Memories later that year with Ikky, leaning toward a more melodic balance where Punjabi rap meets sung hooks and R&B inflections. On stage, that mix translates into a clear, forward drive, where traditional pulses talk to urban beats, carried by his pen and a voice that shifts from tight bars to smooth refrains.
