Jeremy Hababou

Jeremy Hababou, a Franco-Israeli pianist and composer, will perform on 31 January 2027 at Le Silo, 35 quai du Lazaret, 13002 Marseille. At the crossroads of jazz, classical music and Middle Eastern influences, he carves out a personal path where composition meets improvisation. Trained from a very young age and shaped by his travels, he writes pieces that evoke places, memories and states of mind, lying between clear melodies and rougher textures.

On stage, his playing balances precision and freedom: a piano that breathes, motifs that answer one another, themes that open up in the moment. The contrasts unfold without flashy showmanship, shifting from a meditative atmosphere to a denser energy, guided by a sense of narrative that steers the listening experience. The programme will highlight his recent compositions and a few improvised detours, in a pared-down format centered on the piano.
