Oh Putain Laurent !

Laurent Baffie returns to the stage with Oh Putain Laurent! on May 21, 2026 at the Théâtre La Gaîté Rive Gauche, 6 rue de la Gaîté, Paris 14th. An author, director and improviser known for his quick-witted delivery, he unfolds a very personal account: memories from the Ardisson years, television’s backstage, jokes that were too blunt and cut in editing, and all those grey areas where humour tests the limits. Without warning he moves from sexuality to zoology, with that mix of lists, digressions and asides that suits him well.

In front of the audience, Baffie favours directness: rapid-fire retorts, interactions with the crowd, offbeat angles, and a way of steering the conventional toward less tame ground. The show subtly raises the question heard everywhere—“Can’t you say anything anymore?”—and answers it in his own way, owning what no longer passes on the small screen. Between sharp writing and deliberate improvisation, he signs a frontal, unfiltered and uncompromising stand-up.
