Info
Mélissa Laveaux returns to the stage on April 7, 2026 at the Salle Henri Watremez in Roubaix. Four years after Mama Forgot Her Name Was Miracle, the Canadian singer unveiled her fifth album in March 2026, conceived as a journey between life and death. She draws on mythology, family memory and political commitment, with death as a companion on the road—source of inspiration and musical motif, never taboo in her Haitian heritage. The indie-pop vein takes on psychedelic hues, is rooted in her folk origins and opens up to collaborations with those close to her, resulting in a manifesto-like album where vulnerability becomes a weapon and where artists, especially women, assert themselves.
Born in Canada and raised in Ontario, Mélissa Laveaux moved to France in 2008, the year of her first album Camphor and Copper on No Format!, followed in 2013 by Dying Is a Wild Night. Album after album she has explored intimate themes—family, leaving—that feed into this new chapter. In Roubaix she will present these new songs, between pop pulses, guitars with psychedelic accents and direct lyrics, in a format faithful to her identity.
