Australia-born and Alberta-raised, Gord Bamford has carved his path in Canadian country while keeping a steady line to Nashville. Active since the early 2000s, he first stepped out with the independent album God’s Green Earth, then honed a writing style rooted in everyday stories of small-town life, family ties and barroom nights. Records like Honkytonks and Heartaches, Day Job, Tin Roof, Diamonds in a Whiskey Glass and Fire It Up build a catalogue where classic ballads sit next to mid-tempo narratives and a few honky-tonk shuffles. Between tours, he writes with North American songwriters, keeping his sound anchored between Western Canada and Nashville.

On stage, Bamford brings that traditional and neo-traditional mix with a focus on storytelling and melody, backed by his band and years spent in theatres and festivals across the country.
