Info
April Wine brings its blend of melodic hard rock and radio-shaped hooks to Laval, a sound forged in Halifax before settling in Montreal. The band built its identity through the 70s with harmonized guitars, tight riffs and ballads carried by a clear sense of melody, from the early run of April Wine (1971), On Record (1972) and Electric Jewels (1973) to Stand Back (1975) and First Glance (1978). The early 80s anchored the catalog with The Nature of the Beast and Power Play, and songs like I Like to Rock, Sign of the Gypsy Queen and Just Between You and Me that still define their setlists.
On May 2, 2026, April Wine plays Place Bell in Laval as part of Triumph: The Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded Tour. Expect a set built on riff-forward staples, big choruses and the slower cuts that shaped their tours, with the guitar interplay and straight-ahead rhythm section that have long framed the band’s live sound. Decades on, the repertoire leans on concise songwriting and sturdy arrangements, a snapshot of classic Canadian rock that continues to land on stage.
