Rilès

Rilès lands at MTELUS in Montréal on June 29, 2026. Raised in Rouen with Algerian roots, the rapper, singer and producer has been carving his own lane since the mid-2010s, starting as a self-taught artist posting tracks online. His breakout came with RILÈSUNDAYZ, a weekly run of releases in 2016–2017, mostly in English, that set the tone for his melodic take on hip hop, crossed with pop and R&B. Tight rhythmic structures, sung hooks and layered harmonies sit over instrumentals where North African colors meet more electronic textures, giving space for both quick-fire rap and smoother vocal parts.

In 2019, his album Welcome to the Jungle gathered songs written, composed and produced by himself, balancing energy with more introspective moments. Since then, he’s kept the pace with singles and short projects, experimenting more in French and switching between trap-driven cuts and slower, moodier tracks.
