Sudan Archives plays The Pearl in Vancouver, BC on Sunday, February 15, 2026. The Los Angeles-based violinist, singer and producer, born Brittney Parks, writes songs where R&B and electronics meet raw strings, bass motifs and clear, conversational vocals. Largely self-taught on the violin, she folds in patterns from East and North African traditions, looping bow strokes and hand-played rhythms into lean arrangements. From her early EPs on Stones Throw through Athena and Natural Brown Prom Queen, her catalogue moves between club-minded cuts, quiet ballads and off-center pop. On stage, she shifts between voice, violin and production, letting beats, hooks and texture carry the set while keeping the focus on melody. Her approach sits at the crossroads of electronic music, Afro-diasporic references and intimate writing.
