Les Bodin's « Grandeur nature »

Les Bodin’s return to the stage with Grandeur nature, their format in which Maria, a blunt-talking peasant, gives her son Christian a hard time. The duo observes rural life through their farm and village, amid a succession of chores, shrewd schemes and small neighbourly feuds. Driven by lively language and very physical situations, the show erects a large country set to immerse the audience in the Bodins’ world, complete with creaking doors, fences to mend and impromptu visits that always arrive at the worst possible moment. The exchanges crackle, temperaments clash, and beneath the rough-and-tumble a stubborn tenderness surfaces.

The tour continues into 2027 and will stop at the Zénith Nantes Métropole in Saint-Herblain on 6 March 2027. Vincent Dubois and Jean-Christian Fraiscinet reprise their roles, honed by years on stage, around themes that are second nature to them: family pulling together, disruptive modernity, make-do ingenuity and down-to-earth country common sense. A dive into popular theatre that speaks as much to those nostalgic for the land as to curious city-dwellers.
