Info
Paul Simon, American singer-songwriter and co-founder of Simon & Garfunkel, is extending his A Quiet Celebration Tour and will stop in Paris on 3 May 2026 at the Grand Rex. It’s an opportunity to see him in an intimate format designed for proximity and sonic precision.
The concert opens with Seven Psalms, a 33-minute acoustic suite nominated for a Grammy Award. Written for voice, guitar and a few pared-down instruments, the piece unfolds its motifs without interruption, carried almost entirely by Simon, who advocates active listening in which each listener completes the song.
After a short intermission, the programme becomes a journey through his repertoire: signature songs alongside rarely performed numbers, rearranged especially for this tour. These versions prioritize clarity, acoustic textures and subtle dynamics.
On stage, Paul Simon is accompanied by Mark Stewart (guitar), Bakithi Kumalo (bass), Steve Gadd (drums), Andy Snitzer (saxophone), Jamey Haddad (percussion), Mick Rossi (piano, keyboards), Gyan Riley (guitar), Nancy Stagnitta (flute), Caleb Burhans (viola) and Eugene Friesen (cello).
