Shannon Wright

Shannon Wright, an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer, has spent more than 25 years exploring territory where electric rock meets raw ballads. Since her first solo album, Flightsafety (1999), she has been crafting songs that are both dense and clear, driven by a biting guitar, a forward piano, the warm grain of a Wurlitzer, and strings and backing vocals that tighten the melody without weighing it down. Her eleventh album, Reservoir of Love, released on February 7, 2025, was recorded in solitude and marked by illness and bereavement, yet it conveys a clear energy, contained pulses and a sense of motif that goes straight to the point.

On stage, Wright unfolds this contrast between tension and restraint, alternating walls of electric sound with charged silences, her keyboard and guitar work sculpting the space rather than filling it. She will perform at Le Gueulard Plus in Nilvange on March 20, 2026, to present these new songs and revisit a repertoire that privileges the essential—without unnecessary effects and as close as possible to the songwriting and the songs’ breath.
