Pablo Mira returns with a third show whose title is deliberately left undecided. In Pablo Mira Is Still Looking for the Title of His Show, the comedian takes aim at what obsesses him day to day: those little annoyances that pile up, cling to you and eventually make you need a therapist. He gets things off his chest, then broadens the frame to current trends he can’t keep up with—even with his HPI label (highly gifted)—and that disrupt his self-control. Between confessions and unapologetic bad faith, he opens the door to the therapist’s office, dissects conversations that spiral out of control, and pilots controlled derailments. On stage he alternates dry punchlines, precisely calibrated digressions and silences that grate. The through-line: his neuroses, his eye for detail and his uniquely personal way of sabotaging his own plans. A stand-up that confronts the subject head-on, grates and cuts, with no detours.
