Info

On 26 March 2026 at the Théâtre l'Archipel in Paris, Belle Chen, a Taiwanese pianist and composer based in London, unfolds on stage a universe that blurs the boundaries between classical and electronic music. Trained in the traditional repertoire, she now prefers to hybridize it, making the piano converse with synthetic textures, pairing precise composition with freedom of performance. Brian Eno describes her as "original and provocative... who gives a sense of discovery," a nod to the way she opens listeners' ears and shifts accustomed habits.

She presents the pieces from her album Ravel In The Forest, a journey inspired by the richness of forest ecosystems and by our capacity to imagine. The record reached No. 7 on the UK Specialist Classical Chart and No. 15 on the ARIA Classical Chart, a sign of a project that moves between stages and audiences. In concert, these pages are woven into an evocative pathway where Ravel-like echoes, electronic materials and suspended breaths surface. A performance that favors sonic intimacy, attention to detail, and that slight displacement which invites the listener to be carried along.
