Info

On April 2, 2026, Bombino takes L’Autre Canal in Nancy. Born Omara Moctar in Agadez, the Tuareg singer-guitarist from Niger shapes an electrified Saharan blues in which the guitar leads the way, between hypnotic loops and crisp melodic lines. His music alternates between acoustic ballads and more biting numbers, tied together by a clear throughline: carrying Tuareg culture and a message of unity beyond borders. Without unnecessary effects, he moves straight ahead, true to a songwriting rooted in the desert and in life in northern Niger.

Spotted as early as 2011 by NPR among that year’s discoveries and nominated for a Grammy in 2019, Bombino also recorded the album Nomad with Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), a pivotal moment that brought international prominence to his playing. He is preparing a new record for 2026. On stage, his riffs settle, rise and tighten, supported by a precise rhythm section and vocals in Tamasheq. The music shifts from an almost minimalist gentleness to electric surges that grab you immediately. A rare opportunity to experience one of the essential voices of Tuareg blues live, in Nancy on April 2, 2026.
