Hidrogenesse + Roberta Lips

The Barcelona duo Hidrogenesse celebrates its 30th anniversary and will take the stage at the Hasard Ludique in Paris on March 28, 2026. Founded in 1996 by Carlos Ballesteros and Genís Segarra, the group moves between synth-pop, dance music, electronic mambo and faux rock ’n’ roll. Known for their distinctive stage performances, they have also built numerous collaborations — with The Hidden Cameras, Doble Pletina, and remixes for Jarvis Cocker, among others. They released an album paying tribute to Alan Turing and have composed music for films, exhibitions and series, including Las Mesías. Balancing pop curiosity with a taste for detours, Hidrogenesse unfolds a repertoire that crosses genres without losing its thread.

Roberta Lips will appear on stage alongside Hidrogenesse. Born in Paris in 2023, the quartet — Lucia, Tiphaine, Lisa and Élise — deliver garage-edged power-pop. Their reference points range from 70s garage (The Runaways, Nikki & the Corvettes) to the riot grrrl movement (Bikini Kill), with a touch of 90s Spanish indie pop in the vein of Los Fresones Rebeldes. Live, they are direct and no-frills: punchy choruses, tight guitars and four-part harmonies, balancing gentle melancholy with a defiant spirit.
