Aupinard carves out his own path between bossa nova and French RnB. A French singer of Congolese origin, he lays a calm voice over bright guitars and supple rhythms, with intimate lyrics that gaze closely at everyday life. His first EP, “Aupitape 1: Hortensia,” established his world, blending Brazilian harmonies, a discreet groove and melodies with precise phrasing. After a tour that took him to numerous stages, he continues to bring this mixture of softness and tension to the stage, paying careful attention to arrangement details.

On March 13, 2026 at La Rayonne in Villeurbanne, Aupinard will perform his standout songs and new pieces in a pared-down configuration. Guitar up front, rounded bass, airy beats and a few electronic pads shape a velvety sound crafted to let the voice breathe. The songs alternate swaying tempos and more urban pulses, always in service of the songwriting. It’s an opportunity to hear up close this singular meeting of modern bossa and Francophone RnB, delivered with restrained interpretation.
