Info
On April 17, 2026, at the Bataclan in Paris, Pierre-Emmanuel Barré returns with "Come-Back," a show in which he takes the lead and imagines the next phase of his career. He sets the action in 2031, when he would be officially passé, and uses that premise to turn the stage into a laboratory. Barré dissects his own period of obscurity, dismantles the mechanisms of showbusiness and questions how to surprise in an era saturated with punchlines, outbreaks of indignation and perpetual absurdity. He expresses his doubts openly, turns the foretold failure into raw material and plays with the line between confession and satire. On stage, text, visual effects, sounds and DIY contraptions mingle to sketch an unvarnished self-critique that is more curious than triumphant. "Come-Back" looks at comedy at a time when everything moves too fast, is constantly recycled and soon looks dated, putting the artist at the center not to shine but to observe, adjust and reinvent himself as best he can. A comeback he owns—mostly because he doesn't know any other way.
