Olivier de Benoist will be at the Casino d’Arras in Arras on March 10, 2026 with Le droit au bonheur (The Right to Happiness). A French comedian, ODB explores his favorite terrain: the family. Drawing on couple tensions and the logistics of children, he rewinds everyday life, scrutinizes small acts of cowardice as well as grand principles, and turns exasperation into material for sketches. He imagines more or less believable escape tactics, up to the now‑famous round trips to “buy cigarettes” that last a little too long. Nothing abstract: he draws from his routines as a husband and father, dissects situations with punchlines, and plays the figure of the overwhelmed man searching for air. Le droit au bonheur draws a clear line: look family life in the face, pull concrete stories from it, and make this domestic chaos a source of finely tuned jokes.
