The Dead South

Originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, The Dead South move between folk, bluegrass, Americana and country. No frills, the band plays tightly: banjo crackling, mandolin twirling, guitar precise as a line and cello providing a gritty bass, all carried by three-part harmonies. Their songs tell of betrayals, ghosts and murderous ballads with a subtle humor and a sharp sense of storytelling. Whatever the label, their acoustic signature — raw and exact — is quickly recognizable, built from galloping riffs and images that stick.

On 25 March 2026 at Le Bikini in Ramonville-Saint-Agne, The Dead South return to the stage with a set that alternates between rushes and lulls, choruses that are easy to sing along to and percussive breaks that slam the floor.
