Alex Vizorek

Alex Vizorek takes over Confluence Spectacles in Avignon on 5 March 2026 with “I don’t like classical music, but with Alex Vizorek I do.” A Belgian comedian, actor and presenter, he picks up the thread from “Alex Vizorek Is a Work of Art” and this time turns his attention to classical music. He is the heir to a concept that began on a compilation and was later adapted for the stage, and he assumes the role of master of ceremonies: he tells stories, dismantles some common misconceptions and offers listening tips—without jargon or any professorial airs.

On stage, classical musicians accompany him to present the works live, moving between excerpts, anecdotes and historical detours. The programme ranges from the Baroque to the modernities of the twentieth century, alternating pedagogical insight with witticisms. The tone remains light and precise, with that sense of timing that is his trademark. The idea is to open doors, make a repertoire that can sometimes feel intimidating more accessible, and let curiosity do the rest. See you in Avignon, at Confluence Spectacles, on 5 March 2026.
