Thomas Marty returns to the stage with a brand-new show. After his first program, the comedian continues to mine everyday life: friendship, family, work, small acts of cowardice and great impulses that punctuate our lives. He recounts what goes off the rails, habits that are hard to shake, the principles we bargain with, and the injunctions we dodge. His material consists of concrete situations and familiar dialogues, worked with a sense of detail and self-deprecating humor that hold up. No grand theories—rather lived anecdotes and street-level portraits, where one moves from an awkward memory to a clear-eyed observation without exaggeration.
