Info
On August 5, 2027, Hothouse Flowers land at Mandela Hall in Belfast for a show that’s all about the band’s trademark blend: alternative rock and folk rock shot through with Celtic accents, plus touches of soul and gospel. Built around the expressive voice of Liam Ó Maonlaí and the tight interplay with Fiachna Ó Braonáin, their songs move easily from full-band drive to more acoustic, ballad-shaped moments, always with those warm backing vocals that make the choruses hit.
Formed in Dublin in the mid-80s, they’ve kept that street-band spark while stretching their sound across decades and albums, from the early days of People to later releases like Let’s Do This Thing. Expect a set that pulls from different eras without losing the thread: melodic hooks, folk-inspired motifs, and a rhythm section that knows when to push and when to let the song breathe. A night for anyone who likes rock with roots and a voice front and center.
