Info
On January 29, 2027, The Ocean arrives at La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris with a new chapter in its history, between science fiction and earthly vertigo. After Holocene (2023), whose ending paints an exhausted and uninhabitable Earth, the band deepens its obsession with geological narratives and possible futures: how human intelligence, the engine of progress, can also hasten self-destruction, and what that implies when survival hinges on the creation of artificial worlds.
This concert also marks a shift in the line-up around founding guitarist Robin Staps, with the arrival of vocalists Lane Shi and Enrico Tiberi, as well as guitarists Emmanuel Jessua and Marco Gennaro, alongside bassist Mattias Hägerstrand and drummer Jordi Farré. This adds a new color to Solaris, the band's new sprawling album of around 70 minutes, conceived as a chapter of grand narrative scope, in the continuity of this progressive post-metal made of massive blocks, atmospheric passages, and electronic forays.
