Info
Deep Forest come to Manchester for a live set at Night & Day Cafe on October 20, 2026, bringing back the project’s original idea: letting electronic grooves and jazz-leaning textures collide with voices and traditional motifs from around the world. Started in the early 90s in the north of France by Éric Mouquet and Michel Sanchez, Deep Forest quickly built its signature blend of downtempo rhythms, synthetic soundscapes and sampled chants, with early tracks like “Sweet Lullaby” setting the tone.
Over the years, the repertoire has kept moving, from Eastern European colours on Boheme to Latin-tinged material and later collaborations, while keeping that same balance between club-minded production and cinematic ambience. On stage, expect flowing transitions, layered vocals and a set that nods to the classics while drawing on the project’s later evolutions, now carried forward by Mouquet.
