Cardinals land in Glasgow on 17 November 2026 at The Glasgow School of Art with a set that shows how fast this Cork crew has been stretching the indie-rock template. Built around brothers Euan and Finn Mannings and their cousin Dara, now completed as a five-piece, the band started from a tight post-punk backbone before opening things up into a more melancholic guitar world where shoegaze blur, folk echoes, a bit of gothic shade, rough-edged Britpop and occasional hip-hop swing can all sit in the same song.
One detail makes them stand out straight away: the accordion, not as a gimmick but as a real engine in the arrangements, cutting through the fuzz or carrying melodies when the guitars lean into haze. Expect a live show that keeps the upfront punch of their early tracks while giving space to newer, more nuanced writing, moving between tension and release without losing that direct, young-band urgency.
