Teddy Swims, born Jaten Dimsdale, hails from the Atlanta area and first made a name for himself with his warm, soulful voice through covers, before shaping it into a wholly original blend of soul, R&B and pop—with refined forays into gospel, rock, or country. His songs revolve around relationships, self-doubt and fresh starts, often close to the edge, without relying on grand gestures.
With releases such as Unlearning, Tough Love and Sleep Is Exhausting, he has sharpened his sound between modern R&B production and classic ballads. By the time of the album I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1), Teddy Swims has come to symbolize this intimate, direct kind of pop-soul, which gains even more weight live: band groove, ample room for the voice, and a performance that places emphasis on feeling and timing.
On March 14, 2027, he brings his 'The Ugly Tour' to the Lanxess Arena in Cologne.
