Cameron Whitcomb
Bosiddende i British Columbia og oprindeligt fra Kamloops i Canada, hører Cameron Whitcomb til en moderne countryscene præget af rock og pop. Først opdaget gennem videoer og covers delt online, blev Cameron Whitcomb kendt af et bredere publikum i 2022, da han deltog i sæson 20 af American Idol, hvor hans sceneenergi og ru stemme gjorde indtryk. Siden begyndelsen af 2020'erne har han udviklet en solokarriere som singer-songwriter, udgivet flere singler på streamingtjenester og opbygget et repertoire centreret omkring narrative sange, ofte forankret i temaer som vejen, loyalitet og relationer. Cameron Whitcombs stil blander sangskrivningsstrukturer typiske for nordamerikansk country, iørefaldende omkvæd og elektriske, mere rockede arrangementer, undertiden med strejf af pop. Aktiv på sociale medier og på scenen konsoliderer han gradvist sin plads i den nye engelsksprogede canadiske countrygeneration.
