Info
On December 18, 2026, Damien Dempsey brings his raw, straight-to-the-bone songwriting to Vicar Street in Dublin. Singing in his unmistakable northside accent, he moves between folk roots, Irish tradition, acoustic ballads and flashes of reggae sway, with lyrics that keep one foot in everyday city life and the other in memory, history and a kind of grounded spirituality.
Across albums like They Don’t Teach This Shit in School, Seize the Day, Shots and To Hell or Barbados, and more recent releases such as No Force on Earth, Union and Hold Your Joy, Dempsey has built a catalogue that feels made for the stage: direct stories, big choruses, and songs that invite the room to join in. Expect a set that pulls from different eras, carried by that mix of tenderness and grit that’s become his signature live.
